Christian Höferle (or for those who don’t deal with Umlauts: Hoeferle) is a business reporter who has been working in the music industry since 1996. He spent the better part of his career as a staffer at leading German trade weekly MusikWoche where he served as deputy editor-in-chief until 2004.
Between 1999 and 2000 he was editor/producer for MTV Networks. Ever since 2004 Christian has been working as a freelance writer for the likes of MusikWoche, Rolling Stone, Musik Express and GEMA. “Höf” is a nick name he tried to shrug off for years – to no avail. Ultimately “Höf” turned out to be one of the more flattering monikers he encountered.
Christian currently lives in the Chattanooga Metropolitan area and commutes between Germany and Tennessee at irregular intervals. Höf’s Mixtape tries to report, analyze, and comment on the latest developments in the business.
